Party Like a Big Dog
A couple friends of ours were in town last week for some meetings. They wanted to take their meeting partners out for a good time. Instead of trying to get 40 dudes into a club (Tryst or XS, they all have one word names so we forget) themselves they called a VIP hosting service that would guarantee they all got into the club and had enough adult beverages on hand for everyone.
VIP hosting services can sort club entry, tables, beverages and transportation anywhere we want to go. Most importantly they can guarantee entry without waiting. This is especially helpful when on vacation with a bunch of guys. Clubs don’t, necessarily, like when the dudes roll deep without any ladies.
We’ve used VIP host services a couple of times when we’re vacationing in Vegas – usually for bachelor parties and have gotten into the super cool (regular) clubs and had booze waiting for us in the VIP area. There’s something awesome being able to skip all the lines at the hot spots. We’ve also been able to have limos take us around to any other (adult) clubs we wanted to visit after hours.
Through the years we’ve been lucky enough to hang and party with actors, NBA players, see special performances and other “famous” people. Our favorite, specific memory was being walked into Rain at Palms right as Britney Spears hit the stage before “In The Zone” came out to perform 3 songs. This was one of three club performances she made at the time. The night got more awesome when we went to our cabanas high above the club and enjoyed a few vodka drinks.
While they charge above the actual cost (~20%), the company sorted every detail of the weekend for us with one phone call and one credit card, which allowed us more time to enjoy Vegas and our friends without sweating every neurotic detail of the weekend.
There are definitely shady VIP hosting companies that will troll your terms (Vegas, club name, bachelor party) on twitter and some that don’t have a history with the top clubs to guarantee entry, but you can research on yelp and other sites to sort out the good from the bad.
We’re always looking to treat ourselves friends to a special time. While, sometimes, we can do that on our own there are other times we prefer to call reinforcements. Sometimes it’s just worth the extra money to take some of the work off our shoulders and to ensure everyone has a good time.
